Attaching A Sub Floor Is A Family Affair

Kind of a wrap-up episode today. A quick recap of the random framing we have done in the basement, including building my office and installing some new stairs. Then we move upstairs and show you the new windows framed in and ready to go there. And then we actually build the laundry room, frame a couple doorways and attach a subfloor.

Framing The Basement

A little change in the format with this video. I work on framing a couple rooms and a bathroom in the basement, take a trip to home depot, and kill some bee’s, all in a days work!

Nice Warm Toes – We Bought A Farm House

We will be heating this farmhouse with radiant or hydronic heat, in the floor. This video is just a quick update about the process to install the heating tubing in the concrete slab to heat the basement. We have all the of the tubing installed as well as the manifold, down the road, we will get the tankless boiler and controls in place.

Design Tour

After a long delay we are finally back with another episode, this time we are talking about the design. We give you a quick update on where the project stands, and then give a detailed tour of what our new home will look like via a 3d model design by Staci!

Basement and Demolition

Just a quick update on our project. A ton of demolition has been done, with a ton left. Thanks to our local youth group all of the stucco has been removed from the main level and new sheathing and house wrap has gone up on the outside. Also discuss our decision about how we choose to move forward with repairing or replacing the foundation.
